Field Notes on Adoption

A notebook-style stream of short observations from operational work.

The fastest way to lose trust is to ship a system that sounds finished before it behaves that way.

Enablement work rarely fails because people are resistant in the abstract. It fails because the system they were given does not match the actual rhythm of the work, and everyone can tell.

When the framing is honest, people will usually tolerate rough edges for a while. When the framing is inflated, even polished work starts to feel suspicious.
